Purrs & prayers still incoming from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde & their Feeders
PS Nicodemus the Evile Anti-Koala crossed the Bridge at home after gradually stopping eating. I had a similar discussion with his vet. He spent his last few days laying on my heated master bathroom floor (one thing I miss about the old house) while the rest of the Horde paid him homage.
When the time came, he spent the day on my chest purring. The Horde members came up one by one touched noses with him, stropped his cheeks & said good-bye. He just purred while I petted him until he crossed. He's the only cat I've had this happen with though.
But I think your vet is right. You do get a sense of what's right. With Samantha, who eventually became allergic to everything, its mother and its mother duck, she ended up living under the bed with a raw back & chin. Shots & changes in her environment were no longer helping. The minute we made the decision to take her to the vet the next day to help her to the Bridge I walked back to the bedroom to find her in the middle of the bed purring.
Our babies know. Sweet Praline loves you just as much as you love her. I think she wants to stay with you just a wee bit longer. I agree that it may not be too much longer but my feeling is that she wants to make sure you're going to be okay... or as okay as any of us can be when we face losing one of our babies.
We are so sorry you aren't doing well, Praline! Mom hasn't let us look at blogs in forever, and we are all very upset to hear you are not doing well! Mom says she is surprised the vet is not putting you on anti-nausea medicine, as she has heard of it being used long-term with many cats, including her Texas and Texas' friend Stormie.
Lots and lots of purrs coming to you Praline. And big huge hugs to your Mom. We wish you would try eating a little bit. We certainly are sending all our love to you. Please know how much you are loved. We will be thinking about you and your Mom.
