Mom has this closet in her home office that is a MESS! When she moved back to her house after being gone for 10 years (working on Ph.D. and a professor in two other cities), she totally redid her house (new furniture, floors, etc.) and it looked great! Her dad (Paw Paw) fixed the closet with shelves and it was so organized. That is, until 3 years ago!!! Well, three years ago, Mom left teaching at the university and totally changed careers. The change occurred during the middle of the academic year and she brought tons of boxes home and they ended up in her home office. Her new job is a 12-month a year job compared to teaching and between her numerous surgeries/health issues and the new job, she just hasn't had the time to go through all of the papers, books, boxes and bags (maybe I should get Jasper's mom and dad to clean them out like they did their garage last week!).
I love to climb into the junk closet and scrounge around! Sometimes, Mom has to really search to find me! Maybe if I keep hiding in this closet, she will clean it out!
Hmmmmmm . . . I know I left that fev-ver in here somewhere!

The junk closet looks like a fun play to play in! Our humans have tons of stuff in boxes and scattered around, since they move every 3-4 years because our dad is an army officer.

My mommy's whole house looks like your mom's one closet. I think you should be thankful the mess in the closet hasn't spread, Praline.
We have a closet that winds under the stairs and that is such a fun place to go that we make Mom and Dad keep it cracked. Yes, Mom and Dad were in cleaning mode last weekend. Mom had had just about enough of the cluttered garage, and now the car can actually fit in there!
