My first road trip (December 1995):
Within a week after I came to live with mom, she had a break from studying. I think they called it a Winter Break. My mom called it Christmas Break. We traveled from the Western part of South Carolina to the East Coast to visit her sister. I did okay traveling as long as mom sang to me all the way (about a 4-5 hour trip). We stayed there for a week and I became acquainted with her nephews.
Hey Mom! What's this box all about? All of the soft material that has your special smell on it is inside. Oh . . . we are going on an adventure. What's an adventure?
Don't forget your toothpaste! I want to smell sweet breath when I kiss you. Oh yes, don't forget my toys either, and my food, and my portable bathroom, and the most important thing, ME!
Yippee! Let's go!
Yippee! Let's go!
This is Russell and William. Would you believe they are 25 and 20 years old now?
P.S. Mom went back to work today for the first time in two weeks since her surgery. She said she was pretty tired and wanted to write more about our first trip together, but she compromised (what is that word?) and scanned pictures instead! Probably most of you would rather see baby pictures than read anyway. Thanks Mom!

Praline, you were so cute as a baby kitten. We can't wait to hear the rest of the story of your first trip. We hope your mom's first day went okay and that she didn't tire herself out too much.

Well, we do love the pictures, that's for sure!

How exciting to go on a trip with you mama, and at this age! :-) You were looking good helping you mom preparing the luggage.
You did a wonderful snoopervising the packing, Praline!

You were an adorable baby kitten, Praline! :) Merlin is a pointed Sphynx, and has the blue eyes that indicate he's a pointed Sphynx (he's a Seal Point and White).
Sending healing purrs to your mom!
Hope your Mom's first day went well!
Wow Praline, that was quite a road trip for an itty bitty kitty! You did great! Your baby pictures are just adorable ... maybe this will inspire Momma to scan some of ours ... hee hee! Tell your Mom from our Momma to take it easy at work, it is tough to go back after surgery, she knows that very well!
Purrs and headbutts,
Sabrina, Sam and Simon
That is a long road trip. I would have fussed and lost hair the whole way. You have such a cute tiny kitten face. It's no wonder everyone loved you so much.

That's a neat story, Sweet Praline! That's a long trip for a little one, but it sounds as though your human mom's voice had what it takes to keep you happy.
Oh Sweet Praline, I love seeing your baby pictures and reading your Gotcha Story! Oh you are the cutest fluffy! I can see how your Mom fell for you. My Billie's birthday is this week on the 11th and she will be 13!
I think you were a gift from the Angels for your Mom when she needed you the most. :) I hope she is recovering nicely and has an easy time of it at work. You will have to nap on her to make her rest when she gets home. I am trying to get as much visiting in as I can today. It's so nice to visit my kitty friends and their mom and not the momma beans. :)
Have a really great day!
Hugs from Billie the floofy girl, Cody, Cricket, and Toeshee the Terror and Lorianna
Wow you were very brave to take such a long trip, Praline. When I was brought here is was a 3 hour scary, noise trip in a Uhaul truck! Mom advised Boomer to get a carrier but he said I was a very laid back kitty and a towel in a box would be fine. Ha, was he ever wrong, as soon as he entered the turnpike, which was right near the apartment, I got scared and jumped on the dashboard, then under the seat, then ran under his feet, back up to the windshield...did you ever see one of those stuffed Garfields suctioned to car side windows.....now you've got the picture and now I have a carrier!!!!=^Y^=Setzer
Sweet P, you are TOO ADORABLE!! I feel dizzy from the cuteness and have to sit down! xxoo P
