Thankful Thursday

Mom says that Thankful Thursday if for her today.  She is very thankful for my calming purrs.  She's had it a little rough lately with her shoulder and she says that coming home to me and my special purrs just relaxes her and helps her forget her pain for just a little bit.

When your kitty purrs to you, doesn't it break your heart that you can't purr back? ~Candea Core-Starke

Are we really sure the purring is coming from the kitty and not from our very own hearts? ~Emme Woodhull-Bäche, translated

If purring could be encapsulated, it'd be the most powerful anti-depressant on the pharmaceutical market. ~Alexis F. Hope

Healing purrs!

Healing purrs of course. One time Momma had a cat fall asleep on her ear purring loudly. Momma woke up and she said it felt so safe and perfect. She never wanted to move out of that space.

If anyone says they don't like cats, they have obviously never had the joy of a kitty purring loudly in their ear!

It's too bad you can't be with your mom all day to give her those healing purrs. We are teaching our mom how to purr. She still needs a lot of practise.

Just looking into your cute face would make your Mom happy. My Mom's arm is achy today, too. Maybe they both need to sit in a sunbeam.

We totally agree about purrs being equal to antidepressants! We're sending some healing purrs to your mom's shoulder!

I'm sorry your shoulder hurts. I am an expert on nerve pain. I use the Icy Hot pads. They can stay on for hrs. Also they make a roll on. And, I also found something called Pain Away. It's a spray. I hope your purrs help your Mom.

And, I do wish my cats & dogs could talk to me. I would so like to Purr back...

Oh, Praline, you are so wonderful to your mama! You help her in every way you possibly can.

I, too, believe that purring is a powerful healing thing. I think that purrs tune us into the universe at large, and give us a sense of tranquility.
