Munching on the Christmas Tree
I thought my Mom was asleep when I decided to take a bite of the Christmas tree. The next thing I knew, the flashy box went off and she clapped her hands (I didn't think she could do that with her shoulder) and yelled ,"No!" I just wanted to see what it tasted like. I think the problem is that the tree is fake.

Did the tree smell yummy....my tree smells like...gross...i steer clear for the most part just not my thing....the treats on the other hand. nom nom!

Yes, fake trees are not tasty at all--but I think they can be worse for your intestines too so don't eat it!

I like to chew on our fake tree too. Last year I managed to make a small branch come off. I hid it with my toys. I wonder if it is still there. Mum tells me off for chewing the tree, but not as much as when she caught me chewing the lights.

Don't chew on it - I don't think real OR fake trees are very digestible. My folks gave me a small piece of tree branch to bat around, and that was fun. Better than a cat toy!

No no no! Don't eat the fake tree! You'll have to go to the vet otherwise! We're glad to see presents under the tree--especially the kitty gift wrap! We were worried!
Be careful, Praline, your mom doesn't see you do that and start taking your presents away under the tree.
I personally like to eat things like that, too. But Mom yells at me so much when I do - you think it might be bad for us??

I think it depends on the fake tree, because Barney chomps on ours all the time - maybe the white ones taste different. But at our house the same thing happens - the no, don't eat that. You are lucky though - at our house the next step is the water squirter (because really, the no never works). You are a good girl to stop when your mom tells you! That looks like a very pretty tree that you have too - we hope you don't eat the whole thing (ha ha)
It's good that your mummy got the photo so we could see, but I think everyone is right, probably not a good idea to nom the tree.
We're not allowed to have a tree because SOME Maine Coons would most likely destroy it...
