Showing some teeth!Thank you to all of my furriends and their beans for the warm thoughts for my mom. Many of you have suggested in the comments or on FB that my mom see a chiropractor. She is already seeing a wonderful, caring chiropractor. Luckily, he works with a MD (Physiatrist) who is also assisting mom with her pain. It was the physiatrist who recommended mom see a orthopaedist and she sees him on Monday.

Our biped say to tell your Mom to weigh her purse. It shouldn't weight more than a pound. If it does tell her to get rid of some "stuff". A heavy purse won't necessarily cause your shoulder to go bad, but it can keep it from getting better...
Do you think you have bursitus in your shoulder? Da biped had that once for over six months. By the time she found a doctor who would give her a cortisone shot it had progressed to both shoulders and down her arms to her elbows.
A lot of doctors don't like the cortisone but it was a godsend for da biped. And contrary to what da skinny chinese doctor said, she's never had a problem with it since.

ps: Oh man, all those peoples helping your momma and they is still slacking off and not fixing it.. I says to your momma to tell them to boot them up the rear end! That always works for me anyways hehe

Great tip about the purse...when my mom crashed her bike and hurt her shoulder she had to stop slinging her purse over her shoulder. It made a big difference and helped her heal!

Mombean suggests getting a referral to a Physical Therapist. Hopefully the Orthopedist will give her one.
Mombean has known several PT's who have said that often Chiropractors don't really fix anything, they just do enough to keep you coming back.
