Mom Paula: Praline, I would never betray you! Besides, this kitty would NOT let me give her belly rubs and I missed you so much, I needed to pet another kitty.
Praline: Okay, Mom! Whatever you say. Anyway, I would like for you to meet Allie! Allie is Katie's petite kitty. Katie rescued Allie from the side of the road about 8 years ago. Allie gets to live outside and her mom lets her come in the house at night and in the winter. Allie also has 5 acres to roam. Allie was sitting on the deck while my mom and her friend were in the hot tub looking at the view of the mountains. Mom said when she and Katie were picking fresh tomatoes, okra, peas, and corn from the garden for dinner, Allie just followed right along in the garden and played with the butterflies! What's a butterfly?
This is a picture of Allie inside on the couch waiting for my mom to pet her. Mom took this picture with her cell phone, so you really can't see Allie's light blue eyes and beautiful coloring. Mom said Allie would lay right beside her and get all kinds of scritches.
But this is what Mom came home to last night! A smooshy, flat-faced, floofy kitty! ME! And I got plenty of belly rubs and chin scritches.
Pee ess - I don't think Mom realizes a lot of treats are missing! Shhhhhhhhh!

Praline! I am horrified that your Mom would pet another cat (although it happened here too--the Woman was petting Little Isis!)... But I am glad she is home safely to pet you and give you floofy belleh rubs.

Your secret about the missing treats is safe with us Praline! We completely understand the feelings of betrayal...my mom is completely out of control and will pet any cat she meets, but I know she loves me best. We are convinced your mom loves you best!
I'm glad your Mom had a good trip to the Upstate. Allie is awful cute, so I can understand why your Mom wanted to give her pets. And if she was just standing in as a surrogate for you then I guess that's OK. And it looks like you did get some good loves when you got home, too.

No need to be jealous, Praline! Your mama loves you the bestest! Allie is a very pretty kitty, though, and I'm sure her mommy loves HER the bestest. That's the way it is.
And there are enough scritchens to go around, so don't worry.
We were a little sad at your 1st picture, you looked so upset. But, the last picture was the BEST, gettin' all petted up! You are the QUEEN of your house, and your mommy knows that. Allie is a cute little girlcat who is very lucky to have a wonderful family of her own.
PS...we don't know what a butterfly is either...

Praline, Allie sort of has the colors like you. We are so happy your Mom is back home with you where she belongs.
Praline, you know mom ws missing you and this other kitty was there to act as a substitute. You would not want your Mon to not have any kitty contact when she is missing you so much.
Dont worry sweet one, we wont tell about the treats, and I am glad your mum is back safe and sound.

Oh Praline, you know you are your Mommy's best girl! Allie is a cutie and I'm glad she has such a lovely home. I'm sure Mommy Paula won't notice how many treats you had and you deserve them anyway. ;)
It's nice that your Mommy was able to relax. I bet that hot tub was just what she needed for her hurty shoulder. Too bad insurance won't cover those, I'd have one in a heart beat!
