Update: Mom called the V.E.T. and NO trip for me. Mom just needs to go and buy the Advantage Orange. I guess I will be a greasy kitty for a little bit. Mom has an appointment with the doctor at 12:30 for her foot.
Guess what Mom found last night? FLEAS! I have no idea how they got on me because I never go outside. Mom is calling the V.E.T. this morning as soon as she gets up to schedule an appointment. She would go and buy some flea stuff, but it's been so long since I have had fleas and that fact that I am almost 13 years old - she wants to make sure she gets the right stuff. I will update when I get back.
What's this thing doing out?Also, Mom has had another run of bad luck. She picked up conjunctivitis in her eye (the doctor says it was probably from the plane) and this afternoon she stepped on a broken piece of metal in the yard. She may need to go and get a shot today. Poor Mom! She says she just can't get a break! (Watch what word you use, Mom!)

We HATE fleas!! We had a terrible infestation & we never go outside either. Poor Festus almost went to the Rainbow Bridge because of those awful fleas. The CB helped Mama pay the v-e-t bill, bless them all. She's trying to save green papers so we can have another dose of Frontline. She's paranoid after that mess.

We get Frontlined every month so we don't get fleas or ticks. We have never had cat fleas but we have to be careful of ticks. We hate those nasty little bloodsuckers cuz they live in the grass in our fields and are just waiting for us to come along. The Frontline gives them a nasty surprise though.

Sadly, fleas can come inside by hitching a ride on clothing . They sometimes hide in the grass. The Vet will know what is best for you :)

That's quite the day you are both having.
I'm a little bit embarrassed to say that I've had fleas this year, but mommy is pretty sure they come in off the doggies, even though we all get treated for the little suckers . . . no pun intended.
OH wow did your momma break a mirror?!
Momma says that there is an old sayin' that everything happens in 3's so she should be good now :)
And there is this stuff that momma puts on the back of our necks each month that takes care of fleas, worms, kinda does everything (coz Mushka can't swallow tablets),it only works out at $10 a month each and takes care of everything, we iz just angry one day a month when she puts it on, OH and we has never had fleas in our life.

Ah, Praline, fleas are the bane of our existence, eh? Right up there with ticks and worms and evil diseases. I'm sure hopin' the Advantage Orange kills the little suckers dead, dead, dead! And that your poor mom catches a break-she needs it!
Fleas are bad news. Conjunctivitis is bad news. Hole in foot is bad news. Hope you get some better news over the weekend!

ewwwwww! we don't have fleas inside, but some summers there's a big infestation of fleas in the grass outside the house in front. if the people walk through the grass, the fleas jump on their socks or pants and ride on into the house to get us. yuk!
