Almost Getting There

Mom is getting a little better with the plates she is putting in front of me.  Last night, she put this food in front of me and it at least had shrimp in it.  However, it also had bunches of garlic and mom said I couldn't have that.  I think the look on Hope's face (picture on the TV from Days of our Lives) conveys my feelings with my Mom lately!

Mom says thanks for the excellent suggestion of putting my floof outside for the birds to build nests with.

Pee ess ess - Mom is having more problems with her shoulder.  The PT basically has started her over and now her shoulder is popping every way she moves it and it's hurting again.  It's back to the human vet for mom next week.

Still Not Funny

Mom is still trying to be funny!  Would you look at what she put on the plate today?  Wait just a minute, Mom!  That's my floof and it belongs on me, not on a plate.  Put it back!

Mom Paula:  It's Spring and that means it's shedding time again for Praline.  This is after one good combing!  Better on the plate than in your tummy, Sweetie!

Horoscope Week - The Conclusion

I just had to do another post today when I saw the them of Photo Hunters - vertical.  Mom took this picture of me when I was a youngster (about 2 years old).  I heard something outside of the window and sat up and mom took the picture.  Funny!

Horoscope Week - Neptune

Today's focus is on Neptune and there is a lot of talk about special hiding places.  I won't go into too much detail because I recently shared a lot of my favorite hiding places.  Tomorrow, I will share the final Horoscope reading related to Pluto.  I hope you have enjoyed my detailed horoscope reading!  I've found it very interesting.

(Note from Mom Paula:  Praline has never been neglected!  The only time she is behind bars is when she travels to the vet.  The other interesting thing is that I am a Pisces!)

Saturn Sextile Neptune:
Sweet Praline's dreams are a reality for her. She sees the bird come right into the living room in the reflection of the crystal. It won't take Sweet Praline much to come up with ways to have fun. Fantasy from catnip may be too much for Sweet Praline to handle.

Pee ess - my vet visit went well yesterday.  The vet didn't have to sedate me to take out my stitches, even after she told my mom as she was leaving the room that she would.  I was such a good girl when I got back there that she just "snip, snip" quickly while I was still!  The vet said I was doing great and that I was such a "sweetie".  I already know that.

Venus

Today's focus of my horoscope is on Mercury.  Karen, the Monkeys' mom, did a lot of work on my reading.  There are several more sections that I am going to share with you each day of this week.

Mercury

Mercury, the planet of communications, suggests how felines communicate with us. There are many different forms of communication besides meowing. Body language will also give us clues into what our cats want. But their most important form of communication is reflected in their ability to send messages telepathically. Some cats are better at this than others but equally important is our receptiveness to such information. We all know how Sweet Praline can get her point across when she wants to. Now learn what you can do to facilitate greater sensitivity to what it is your cat has to say.

Mercury in Libra:
Sweet Praline has an uncanny ability to express herself either directly or telepathically. Poised, without tendency to skittishness, Sweet Praline finds a fine balance within the community of the household. Not given towards turf wars, she likes to see that things are divided equally. Sweet Praline will do most anything to see that her partners in life are happy. She is content to be looked upon as a creature of beauty. Provide Sweet Praline with her own mirror above her bed.

Mercury Conjunct Moon:
More tuned to your psyche than most. This perhaps is one of the most sensitive cats you've ever owned. Praline's special friend, Cody, who has Down's Syndrome.  Praline came right up to him and even licked his hand.  She knew he was special and needed her special attention.

Note from Mom Paula:  Praline has been an only cat and lived with only me since she was 12 weeks old.  In order to meet Praline, one must walk in the house calmly, put his/her hand out and let her sniff it.  If she turns her backside to you, she is saying you are okay and now you can pet her.  There are only a handful of my friends that she actually jumps up beside for cuddling and even a smaller number that she has licked on their hand.  If she sniffs your hand and walks away, you'll never be part of her world.  She has done that with several people and no matter what they tried, she would have nothing to do with them, ever!  I think Mercury has Praline described perfectly.

Photo Hunt - Sweet

This is a purrfect theme for me since my first name is Sweet!  Uh oh!  Mom just reminded me that my full name is Miss Paula's Sweet Praline!

I thought I would use a "recycled" picture that the ZH, Ann did for me when I first joined the CB.  It's me lying on top of praline candy, which is one of my mom's favorites.  It is also very sweet!

Finally Friday

Okay, Mom!  I guess you can show everyone my hurtie on beside my nose.  We tried to get a picture that was clearer, but one of my eyes keeps having the laser effect!  If you biggify my picture, you can see my ouchie!  I don't think it looks too bad and yucky, but if you have a queasy tummy, you may not want to look too close.  As you can see, I am definitely talking back to my mom.

We got the results back from the biopsy yesterday.  The vet said it was a Mast Cell Tumor, but it was benign.  I have to go back to her next week to get the two stitches out and I have to be sedated again.  Mom asked why the sedation to remove the stitches and she said that the stitches were so close to the eye and that the scissors were very sharp and one sudden move from me could cause them to go into my beautiful eyes.  Mom said, "okay, sedation it is!"

The Internet is a dangerous thing because mom has googled "Mast Cell Tumor" and she sure is glad that the vet said mine was benign.

Not That Side, Mom!

Mom keeps trying to get a picture of the side of my face where I had the surgery and I won't let her!  I decided to give her the raspberry instead!

Thank you for all of the well wishes.  So far, I am doing well.  I'm eating and talking back to mom as usual.  It's back to the vet next week to get out the stitches.  Mom had to have another shot in her arm yesterday, so she was hurty today.
