Sorry, Mom! This seat is taken!

Catwalk Caturday

I thought this magazine cover was purrfect for me, especially the headline "Chic at Any Age" since I turn 14 this week. I think I am pretty HOT for an old ladycat!

Don't forget to email your best "slumber party" photo by September 20. Mom has responded to every email once it is received, so if you haven't received a confirmation, please notify us! The slumber party is September 25.

Floofy Friday

I've got the guest room all ready for my slumber party next Friday. I've got plenty of stuffed friends for those of you who forget to bring yours with you to snuggle up to once we go to sleep. I've had several offers to snuggle up with me! Both Bhu and Ginger Jasper have promised to come (Remember them from AS THE PAW TURNS)!

I'm so excited because I've never had a sleep over! Many of you have sent me your best "slumber party" pictures, but I know there are others who are still out there. Please email your pictures (include your name and your blog url) by September 20, so my secretary (MOM) can get everything ready.

Pee ess: Mom has shoulder surgery scheduled for December 4 for a tear in her rotator cuff, a labral tear, and bone spurs.

Slumber Party Plans

Hello all of my furriends! My 14th birthday is next week, September 25. I would like to have a slumber party and invite all of my friends.

Please find a pictures in your best PJs, with you favorite stuffed animal, sleeping on your favorite blanket, or in your favorite cave or bed. Email the picture along with your name and blog link to my mom. Mom's not as creative as some of the other mom's on the CB, but she wants to include as many of my furriends as we can (probably in multiple collages.) Please have these photos to mom by September 20, so she can have time to plan the party.

One of my favorite places is my tent that GJ gave me and my crinkly blanket that Samantha and Mr. Tigger sent me.

My newest spot to sleep is on top of the computer laptop tray.
I'm looking forward to this. After all, a girl only turns 14 once!

Valerian Root Overdose

I just love it when mom pulls out the aromatherapy shoulder ice pack from the freezer. I let her use it for her 20 minutes and then I insist that it's mine! Between the various mints and the valerian root, I just "cool it" on the pack. Mom feels guilty when she needs to take it back from me. I'll share my ice pack with my furriends at the sleep over and see if you will overdose too! It's much better than the nip!

Keep sending those "slumber party" pictures through email.

Pee ess - the slumber party will be for ALL of my furriends - mancats and ladycats - even some woofies if they want to join!

Off to Work

I've decided I want to do a "slumber party" for my 14th birthday. I have a lot of planning to do and must stay on top of my Mom to get all of the details ironed out. If you would like to participate in my slumber party, just email me a picture of you sleeping in/on your favorite item or in your favorite PJs. Be sure to include a link to your blog address and your name in the email.

My birthday is September 25, so this gives my Mom lots of time to set up the party. What, Mom??? What do you mean you're busy and your shoulder hurts??? After all, a ladycat only has one 14th birthday!

I'm off to work to plan my party and to pester my Mom.

Easy Like Sunday

Don't you just love my mom's kitty PJs? It's always nice to cuddle up to mom and take it easy on a Sunday.

Spoiled!?!

I get my stinky goodness twice a day. Once in the kitchen and once in the great room near my mom. I love to eat in the great room! Recently, she decided to try to see if I would drink more water (seeing that I wouldn't go near a water fountain), by giving me bottled, spring, water. I love the water and drink a lot more now! Mom says I'm spoiled. I say I'm treated like a lady-cat is supposed to be treated.

My 14th birthday party is coming up on September 25. I think I want a combination cookout (with all of my furriends) and then a "lady-cat" sleep-over for the girls out there. What do you think?

9.11.2009

Floofy Friday

How many of my furriends (especially Bhu, GJ, Goma, and Romeo) want to come and share my fancy scrunchy pad wth me?

Pee ess - of course, we should have a ladycat's sleepover. I have my black tent that GJ sent me, I have my leopard scrunchy pad, I have blankets, fev-vers, brushes, nail clippers, and a good secretary (mom) who will take wonderful care of us. Who wants to do a sleepover if the mancats don't show. Even if they do show up!!!

9.10.2009

Change the Channel!

Come on, Mom! Please turn the channel. I don't want to watch those soap operas. I want to watch Goma on the Animal Planet, the Whiskers and Purrs Gang on TLC, and the Dog Whisperer, and Cats 101. Didn't you buy this nice TV for me so all of my furriends would look so real?

Treats on Tuesday

I received a special package last week from Baby Patches. This was such a surprise. I've admired all of the the things she gets to play with and eat, but our green papers have been tight since my illness in May and Mom's health problems, so we've had to wait to order anything. To my pleasant surprise, when Mom brought this envelope inside, it was from Supplies Just 4 Pets, which is owned by Baby Patches' mom.

Mom! It's for me from Baby Patches!

It's Bonito Flakes! I always read that one of my BF, Goma, loves these flakes and I've always wanted to try them.

Now I have a new treat to add to my collection. Thank you so much, Baby Patches, for thinking of me and sending this special treat. Mom says I must ration these. MOMS!!!

Well, what are you waiting for, Mom? Open it!

Happy Labor Day

Today is Labor Day in the U.S. The name of this holiday has never made sense to me because many people do not work on this day. All I know is that it means my mom has an extra day home with me.

I wonder if this plastic lid will fly across the ocean to catch up with the Weinermobile!

Easy Like Sunday

Whew! I'm tired after playing with my toys! I hope you have a very relaxing Sunday.

Pee ess - In case you're wondering what the red thing is in the background - it's our external hard drive. Time to back up stuff again.

Paw It Forward

I received a special package from Purrs 'n Snorts a couple of weeks ago and would you believe Mom just gave it to me last night??? I always love getting a package that is addressed to me. This package is from the "Paw It Forward" exchange.

Is this for me, Mom? Why are you just now giving it to me?

One of the first things Mom pulled out of the package was an envelope. Guess what was inside of it? It was a charm for my Mom with my picture on it. I think my Mom got leaky eyes when she saw it. She told me I couldn't play with it, that it was something she would treasure long after I am gone. Where am I going Mom?

You may need to bigify the picture to see the charm. Isn't it great?

Then, Mom poured the contents out of the envelope. There were lots of presents, but my attention was immediately drawn to the fev-ver toy! It didn't say anything about catnip, but I fell for it immediately.

In fact, I wouldn't even let Mom take the fev-ver toy off of the paper. I grabbed it and started playing with it. I didn't even give mom time to change the flashy box to video, so she took a bunch of still photos to show you how much I enjoyed it.

When I came up for air, Mom took the fev-ver toy off of the cardboard and I continued to play with it. Look at my big eyes!

Here are the rest of the items in my package. Aren't the kitties and woofies from Purrs 'n Snorts wonderful? This package was something that both Mom and I needed with all of our trials this summer. It made my Mom smile and me purr!

Here are the guidelines for Paw It Forward:

The exchange focuses on doing an act of kindness without expecting anything in return other than that the recipient will, in their turn, pass the kindness along and 'paw it forward' in their own way. This is how it works...I am going to send something to the first blog owner who wants to take part. In turn you will then post about this on your blog, link back to me, then send something to the first person who signs up to play along through your blog. There are no cost restraints, BUT don't go crazy! The little something you send can be something you made, bought, were given or found. No biggie, just a gift that will make the person smile; maybe something unique from where you live? And, remember that kindness does not have to involve money, there are untold ways to help others every single day, everywhere you go- just look around. Please post a comment letting me know that you want to play!

Mom just told me I have two more packages that came in this week! Oh boy! Oh boy!

New Treat?

What's this? That doesn't look or smell like my treats! Is this something new for kitties? Does it taste good? What????? It's a treat for my MOM!

This is mom's favorite candy, but she can't find it just anywhere!

Mom, you know you can't eat special treats until after I've had my treat(s) for the evening. Just put down that Reese's white chocolate peanut butter cup and get me my Stewart Fiber Formula Treat.

Ahhhhhhh! Now this is more like it! Now, on to the Topini Treats, the Temptations, the Friskies, . . .

Pee ess - We hope to visit more within the next couple of days. Please be patient with us as my mom is still a little down and in pain. She helps me get my post up, but tends to fall asleep soon after. Please don't forget us! Mom says thank you so much for all of the group headbutts and purrs this weekend.

Pee ess ess - We've received two packages from the Paw it Forward. I'm really late posting the first one from Purrs and Snorts, but I love my stuff. We'll try to post it this weekend. I received another package yesterday, but mom hasn't opened it yet. She wants to capture my reaction when we have more time.

College Football Kickoff!

Update: My Gamecocks won tonight. The score was 7 to 3.

Tonight kicks off the college football season and our South Carolina Gamecocks are playing their first game on ESPN at 7:00 pm EST. Mom and I will be watching the game on our HDTV together this time. Many of you may remember that mom left me every weekend last year to travel to the games, but she said the green papers are very tight this year because of both of our health issues, so she isn't going to the away games. I like this better, even though my mom tends to yell and scream at the tv during the game.

This is the graphic that I am submitting for the month of September for the Nude Cat Calendar for the CB 2010. If you haven't submitted your entry yet, drop on by and read the guidelines. While you're there visit all of my furriends that have submitted entries and leave comments for your favorites. I've submitted two entries: September for football and February for Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Both of these graphics are the product of the very talented Ann of Zoolatry! I just love her so much.

Go Gamecocks!!! Beat the Wolfpack!!!

Tortie Tuesday - Baby Praline

This was one of the pictures my mom had to send to CFA (Cat Fancier's Association) when I was getting registered as a baby. The breeder told my mom that I was a Seal Point Persian, but CFA said I couldn't be pointed because I didn't have the appropriate genetics in my family history, my eyes were not blue and a couple of my toe pads were pink instead of dark. My Himmie mom and Persian dad were both registered, so I had the papers, but they couldn't decide my coloring. CFA asked mom to send in a photo and based on the photo below, my coloring is officially "Tortoiseshell". That makes me a Tortie!

As I grew into an adult ladycat, the dark markings on my body disappeared and my coat is a mixture of cream and red (from both of my parents) and my tail, toes, and face have the seal pointed markings of my Himmie mom.

Mom says even though I have the sweet disposition of the Himmie and Persian that I do have the cattitude of a Tortie at times. I don't know what she could be talking about.
