Southern Cooking

I thought my furriends might like to see what a good old Southern meal looked like.  Mom had stewed squash, creamed corn, fried okra, green beans, and a pork loin.  The only thing missing was cornbread and canteloup.  I guess you can tell by my face that I didn't like what mom was eating.  She said it was really good!  Especially, considering the fact the my grandma bean cooked it for her!  Mom is a little lazy when it comes to cooking.  MOL!

We think that food looks delicious! Deli likes to eat human food and she loves pork, but we can see by your face that you'd rather have stinky goodness!

We have never had anything like that at our house - we bet it was tasty - at least for the beans! But we think the pork is probably all us cats would be interested in.

It actually looks pretty healthy -- even the pork loin is relatively low in fat. All those veggies! Beans is good for beans, but not so great for pussycats. You're wise to keep your distance.

Isn't that the best southern meal? The one your mom cooks for you?

LOL, my human would have starved if she'd ever lived in the South - that is practically a list of all the foods she doesn't eat! She mainly eats Mexican food, sushi, grilled salmon and salads. She's very West Coast like that. Although she DOES love cornbread! Me? I'm all about the salmon - sushi OR grilled.
