Baby Fev-vers!

I have some special visitors on my front porch.  I kept hearing all of this noise outside and look what we found!

We have live baby fev-vers in our Gamecock bird house on the front porch.  Mom keeps her eyes open when she comes outside just in case the mom and dad fev-ver decide to attack her.
You may need to bigify to see the fev-ver's head!

The momma fev-ver is feeding the babies now!

You may ask why Mom put the birdhouse on the front porch so close to traffic.  She honestly bought the birdhouse for a decoration, having no idea that birds would actually build a nest in it.  We've had baby birds twice a year for the past three year in the house.  It must be the Gamecock on the house that attracts them.

I got all excited when I saw the headline, thinking it was going to be a Baby Praline photo playing with fev-vers!

Oh!! Lucky you!! We love it when birdies make their nests near the house even if there is a law (yes, a LAW) in our house that we can only look and not touch them...we still like to watch!! Have fun! Purrs, Lautrec and Tiny (Weezdabadcats)

How cool to have your own baby fev-vers! We get fev-vers in our fireplace every year. Dad says he's going to cap it every year....repeat next year.

That's very cool! Those look like wrens. They like to build nests in bird houses like yours.

Wow, Praline, that's so exciting! What pawsome kitty tv! We had baby house finches in a hanging basket outside our front door a couple of years ago and THAT was very interesting!

LOL for sure it is the Gamecock that attracted the birds. That is too neat to have baby birds there. Actually that probably is a very safe place for them, because other animals like cats cannot get up to the house. That really is a great looking birdhouse and our Mom got a kick out of it since we live in Clemson country.

Those birdies just could not resist that great house! Your Mom may need to use the back door for awhile. xoxo

You're so lucky! Our mum put up boxes especially for the birdies to nest in and they won't use them.

Cool friends, Praline!

That is the coolest, Praline! You're furry own fevvers! We have bird houses all over (6 of them) and aside from a B~I~G nasty gross spider (mom said that) they haven't yet been occupied. The beans keep checking though.

Wow, is that ever cool! And it's in a great location for you to watch from the front door, Praline! Do you ever get really excited when you see those fev-vers flying about?

I adore that first picture of you, by the way. I love the look on your face -- it's one I haven't seen before!

How cute! Be careful none of them get inside.

So that's the trick to attract nesting birds! Putting a bird house up for decoration only. See we've been putting up houses for years and they only end up as decoration. Well, sometimes we get evil squirrels for a time.

How cool. We have bird houses up and no one goes in them at all.

Win-win for everyone! The birds get a place to raise their babies, you get some smashing BirdTV, and your human mom gets lots of good karma.
