And the Winner of the Fountain is . . .

Whew! I am exhausted after choosing the winner of the Pet Fountain. So, in addition to announcing the winner, I will throw in the "Toesies and Tummy" post for Tuesday.

A special thank you to all of my furriends and their beans who helped with my recent vet bills by buying a raffle ticket for the New Pet Fountain. The video below shows me selecting the winner of the raffle.

As you can see, the winner of the raffle, is my BF, Ginger Jasper, who lives across the pond. I can't wait to see you use the fountain!!!

I'm guarding the fountain to make sure mom put the appropriate name on the box.

Ginger Jasper and Mom Carol: Mom says she will contact you concerning the cost of sending the box overseas. Thank you so much!

LOL with Praline again!

I was featured on Wendy's LOL again on Sunday. She is so creative! Thanks Wendy.

Mom is on the road today visiting one of the universities, so we'll try to post the winner of the new pet fountain tomorrow.

6.28.2009

Easy Like Sunday

It's just too hot to move around here! I think I will take it very easy today.

Mom! You need to brush my belly floof!

6.27.2009

Caturday Saturday

It's supposed to be in the high 90s here today, so I think I'll just hang around and watch Mom sweat! Hee! Hee!

6.26.2009

Floofy Friday

Get your floof fix today! It's floofy Friday and I am all floofed up for you! Looking forward to a nice, relaxing weekend with Mom!

Today is the last day to get your raffle ticket for the brand NEW Pet Fountain. Each ticket is only $5 and all proceeds go to pay my recent vet bills ($400+) and other kitties (or woofies) in need on the CB.

This IS my happy face, Mom!

We've almost reached our goal for paying the vet bills. Between the reimbursement from the pet insurance company and donations from my friends on the CB, we are only $125 short of paying everything off. I want to thank all of my furriends on the CB for their purrs and assistance during my recent illness. I am happy to report that I am back to 100%! YAY!

6.25.2009

Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful that my Mom is back home and I can get scritches from her again!

6.23.2009

Self Scritching

When Mom isn't home, I guess I have to give myself my own chin scritches. Not as good as mom's scritches, but a kitty has to do what a kitty has to do!

6.22.2009

Alone Again

Mom is on the road again! She has a three day meeting in Washington, D.C. Fortunately, this time I get to stay home and my grandpa and grandma bean get to check on me. They usually give me bunches of treats!

Hurry back, Mom!

6.21.2009

Easy Like Sunday

Whew! It's been very hot here the past few days and summer is only beginning. I think I will definitely take it easy today!

6.20.2009

A Visit from Ginger Jasper

Ginger Jasper had himself shipped to the U.S.A. to visit Khrya. After a wonderful visit, he then had himself shipped to me to share my BIG box.

A special delivery to me from across the pond!

Guess who? It's my BF, Ginger Jasper!

Jasper spent some precious moments sharing my BIG box before going back home to his mom. Don't we look so good together?

Don't worry Bhu and Goma, you are still very special to me, too!

Pee ess - mom isn't so good with the photo editing yet, but I think she did a pretty good job for her first try.

6.19.2009

International Box Day

This is still one of my Mom's favorite box pictures, but I told her it didn't count for International Box day, because it was plastic. She included it anyway!

Happy International Box Day! I've been searching for a box all week for this special day. Many of the boxes already had something in them or they were too small. However, ever the vigilant kitty, I finally found a box that was big enough for both me and my fev-vers!

What have we here? I think I finally have a box that is big enough.

Let's see . . . I think I will give it the paw test!

Now the nose test!

Well, what do you know? This box is big enough for me and there's still room for others to come and visit. I'm especially thinking of my BF Ginger Jasper, Goma, and Bhu! Which one of you want to be the first to snuggle with me in my box?

I also wanted to show all of you young kitties out there that we "older" ladycats still have some athleticism! Look at this purrfect jump!!! Not bad for a 13-year old ladycat!

Pee ess - We are extending the pet fountain raffle for an additional week. There is so much going on this week and mom must travel to D.C. next week that we thought we would give everyone a few extra days for their donations. The raffle is extended until June 26, 2009.

6.18.2009

Does a Basket Count?

Praline: Does a basket count as a box?

Mom Paula: I don't think so. Keep looking, Praline.

Don't forget! Tomorrow is International Box Day on the CB!!! I can't wait to see all of the kitties in their boxes.

6.17.2009

Wordless Wednesday (almost)

Still searching for that purrfect box . . .

6.16.2009

Featured on Wendy's LOL

Hey Furriends! Guess what? I'm featured on Wendy's LOL-Spot! Mom is still laughing at these. Please go over and take a look! Thank you, Wendy!!!!!

This is still one of mom's favorites!

This is some of the mess when mom and I were working on her dissertation!

I'm still hunting a box for Friday's International Box Day. This one has stuff in it. I guess I'll keep looking.

Only 4 more days on the raffle for the NEW pet fountain. Proceeds will go to help raise funds to pay for my recent vet bills and any extra will be sent to other needy kitties on the CB. Thank you in advance for your support!

6.15.2009

Looking for Boxes

This Friday, June 19, is International Box Day for us kitties. I'm searching through mom's junk closet for a box. Do you think I can find one in here?

One more day until mom's "staycation". She is in her last day of training today! I can't wait!

Pee ess - Mom says to tell of my furriends that she knows I am probably the best cure for her stress.

Mom Paula - Most of the time, Praline!

6.14.2009

Easy Like Sunday

I think I'll take in some "rays" on this Easy Sunday. Mom is stuck in a training session all day and won't be home. Too bad she can't share the sunshine with me.

Pee ess: Many of you have asked about mom's tests and everything is basically normal. The doctors have told her to get some rest and to try to get rid of some of the stress in her life. She looked at me when the doctor told her that. I don't know why! (Could it be all of the recent vet visits?)

Anyway, mom is going to take a "staycation" this week and stay home with me!

6.13.2009

Kitty Rugs

Mom! Why do you need so many kitty rugs when you have me? Even when they wear out, she tends to keep them. I think my mom is a pack rat!

6.12.2009

Floofy Friday

Doesn't it ever make you wonder why the beans buy dark furniture when they have a floofy kitty around?

Mom says she should buy stock in the pet lint rollers!

6.11.2009

Tasty Fingers

There's nothing like eating my stinky goodness from mom's fingers. She started doing this when I was sick to get me to eat and now this is the main way I like to eat my stinky goodness.

I can't visit too much the next few days because mom is on the road this week and she will be in a four-day training this weekend. She'll be home at night, but is very tired. We'll be back visiting soon!

6.10.2009

Wordless Wednesday (almost)

I am feeling much better (about 90% my normal self).

June 10, 2009

Thank you so much for all of your purrs and purrayers for

both mom and me!

6.09.2009

Tummy Tuesday

I can't help but expose my tummy when I'm playing with the nip mouse!

6.08.2009

Meet My Kitty Cousins

Mom went to visit her sister this weekend to help celebrate the nephew bean's upcoming wedding. I wanted to introduce everyone to my kitty cousins, Spot and Mr. Jones.

This is Mr. Jones (named after James Earl Jones) and he is two years old. As you can see, he is definitely a "house panther" with not a speck of white on him.

The Distinguished Mr. Jones

This is Spot! Spot is almost 10 years old and was named after the kitty on Star Trek. Spot was a very friendly kitty when he was younger, but he became a little anti-social the last few years. Mom said he was very nice this weekend and even allowed my mom to pet him.

Don't you just love the name Spot for a kitty?

********************************************************************
Don't forget the raffle to win a brand new pet fountain. This raffle is to help pay for all of my recent bloodwork and tests at the vet. Once my vet bills are paid for, all remaining donations will be given to another deserving kitty on the CB. Tickets are $5 each (please see sidebar).

6.06.2009

Easy Like Sunday

Mom says my litter box is starting to "firm up" if you know what I mean. The recovery is slow, but it is happening. I hope you have a restful day!

Today's Photo Hunt theme is "Advertisement". I think having your picture posted in Times Square is great advertisement.

Everyone is asking what I am advertising - how about "Adopt a kitty and your life will be fulfilled"?

You can make your own fun photos using this web page, Fun Photo Box. It's very easy to use!

Year 1 Blogoversary

Today, one year ago, I joined the Cat Blogosphere world! My first post was an introduction on how I came to live with my mom. I want to truly thank Jasper McKittencat's dad for introducing my mom and me to the CB. My mom was feeling a little depressed because she was facing her 3rd surgery in less than 6 months and Jasper's dad told her about the CB. We've been hooked since then. One of our goals was to post every single day during the first year and we made it!!! I think my mom may be a little OCD.

We've made so many new and wonderful friends on the CB. I want to send a special thank you out to Ann of Zoolatry for all of the special graphics and headers she has designed for me. A special thank you to Mom ML , Mom Robyn, and Auntie Deb for their welcome to the CB and for their assistance with the raffles to assist with my vet bills. I also want to thank Hansel's mom for holding a special raffle to help when I was so sick in February.

I was going to have a great big party today to celebrate my blogoversary, but I am still a little "under the weather" and mom has to let some strange CAT look at her tummy at the hospital today. Mom says we'll have a big party once both of us are 100% again. Maybe a House Trashing Party is in order when she leaves to go out of town in two weeks.

I am also a member of the Floof and Fur Gang. I don't blog as much as I should, but this is a very special group of furriends!

The Floof and Fur Gang gave me this Topini Treasure Chest for my birthday last September. I want to share these goodies with all of you. Please feel free to take some of the toys and my favorite Topini Treats.

I've had a wonderful first year and look forward to many more. I'm going to take a nap now!

Pee ess - Remember, we are holding a raffle to win a Brand New Pet Water Fountain. Chances are $5 each and go to support my recent vet bills ($400+). Any extra money raised will be donated back to other needy kitties on the CB. Please see the sidebar for donations.

Pee ess ess - I am still recuperating and mom is still on litter box patrol. I am slowly getting better, but not there yet. Please keep the purrs coming.

6.04.2009

Blogoversary Eve

Today is "Hug Your Cat Day". I hope all of my furriends get all the hugs they need and deserve.

Tomorrow will be my 1st year Blogoversary! I am so excited. Mom is trying to help me get ready for my party tomorrow!

I'm starting to feel a lot better. The litter box problem is starting to clear up and I am harassing Mom for treats all of the time.

Pee ess - Mom has to let a CAT look at her tummy at the hospital tomorrow. I don't know why she needs to go there when she has me here at home. I can look at her tummy all she needs.

6.03.2009

Wordless Wednesday (almost)

I'm still not normal as far as the litter box is concerned, but I am eating well and drinking water. I still have 6 days of antibiotics to take. Mom has been giving me lots of scritches and belly rubs, but she follows me all over the house. I think I'll hide in this closet!

Pee ess - TWO MORE DAYS before my 1st year blogoversary! Please plan on being here!

Raffle for New Fountain

I passed all of my tests at the Vet. Now, my system just needs to calm down, so I can get rid of the "stinky butt." Please keep those purrs coming.

Mom never gives up and she thought she would try a different pet fountain to see if I would use it. This one flows down more than drops, but I got sick as soon as it came in the mail, so she never even had the chance to open it. Since my vet bills the past three weeks have totaled more than $400 again, we're going to hold a raffle and let some lucky kitty (or woofie) win it for a $5 donation. The raffle will run until June 19. We will ask that if the winner lives outside of the U.S., that they help with the shipping costs.

Please note that the button on the right side says "Add to Cart." This is what we need to do for the raffles on the CB for PayPal. Thank you in advance for your support!

Ideal for multiple-cat households or small dogs, this ultra-quiet purifying pet fountain provides a gently flowing stream of naturally cool and oxygenated water. Waiting on Results

Update - I passed all of my tests! The vet called and said that everything looked very good. My thyroid, kidneys, liver, etc. were great and now she had a baseline for the future. Unfortunately, I still have the "stinky butt". The vet said that should be better in a couple of days, but if not, for my mom to call again! They may want to do x-rays! There will be a new raffle announced in the next couple of days, so stay tuned. Thank you again for all of your purrs!

***********************************************************************************

Mom and I are waiting on the results from my blood work and urinalysis and we are supposed to hear from the vet today. I'll get mom to do an update as soon as she hears from the vet. No "stinky butt" on Sunday, but no poop either. I am eating well and drinking water and harassing mom for treats. Please keep those purrs coming.

We're thinking about having another raffle to help with the vet bills ($400+) the past two weeks. Mom bought a different type of pet fountain, hoping I would use it, but it's still in the box because I got sick. What do you think? Is it a good idea?
